We are currently seeking a General Assistant to join our Press Department at our Montague Gardens plant.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist Printers in achieving the correct quantities of high-quality, commercially acceptable printed sheets
Support Printers with identifying and addressing print defects
Assist in basic press maintenance and upkeep
Adhere to all standard operating procedures and safety protocols
Perform general housekeeping duties and other ad hoc assistant tasks as required
Educational Requirements:
Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent (Essential)
Experience Requirements:
Experience operating or working with Offset Web Press or Sheetfed machines will be an advantage
Familiarity with handling and preparing reels of paper is advantageous
Skills & Competencies:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work well under pressure and meet production deadlines
Reliable, punctual, and a committed team player
Willingness to work shifts, including weekends, as per operational requirements
