General Workers x15 needed urgently Full-time Job

Alert Engine Parts is seeking a dedicated and hardworking General Worker to join our warehouse team in Goodwood. This role involves performing essential warehouse duties including stock handling, picking, packing, binning, and ensuring the warehouse environment is clean, organized, and compliant with our operating standards.

Key Responsibilities:

️ Binning & Stock Management:

• Accurately bin incoming merchandise as per standard operating procedures

• Replenish inventory from bulk storage to pick locations

• Assign bin location numbers for new products and update warehouse records

• Assist in stock replenishment and inventory accuracy

• Check all incoming goods for quantity and quality according to company standards

Picking & Packing:

• Timely picking of customer and branch orders to meet order cut-off deadlines

• Pick from bulk locations only when necessary to prevent breakage and maintain efficiency

• Double-check all picked items to ensure accuracy and prevent stock loss

• Maintain daily housekeeping standards in the warehouse

• Participate in regular stock takes and cycle counts

Scanner Control:

• Issue scanners to all operators at the start of each shift

• Record all scanner check-outs and returns using the electronic app

• Inspect scanners for damage upon return and log issues

• Maintain a daily scanner issue spreadsheet

• Report any scanner faults or damages to the supervisor immediately

Qualifications & Experience:

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent in literacy and numeracy (Essential)

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (Preferred)

• Knowledge of automotive parts (spares/motor/engine) and warehouse procedures is advantageous
